• laminate must be allowed to acclimate to the temperature of the room in which it will be installed for at least 48 hours before installation
• remove all "breakables" from the room
• check if subfloor is leveled
• sweep and vacuum the subfloor before any installation
• arrange disconnection of gas appliances
• determine if any changes to the height of the floor require adjustments to door in order for them to close properly
• remove drapes, wall hangings and pictures from walls
